Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This policy explains what information The Productivity Tips (theproductivitytips.com, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit the site, how it’s used, and the choices you have. It is a plain-language policy, not legal advice.
Who we are and how to reach us
The Productivity Tips is a website of productivity guides, written by AR. For any question about this policy or your information, email thebookssummary@gmail.com.
What we collect
Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply, and we keep it only as long as we need to for that and for reasonable record-keeping. We don’t sell or rent the email addresses people send us.
Comments. If comments are enabled on a page and you leave one, the site collects what you enter in the comment form (typically your name, email address, optional website and the comment itself). It also records your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. We keep comments and their details until you ask us to remove them. If you opt in to “save my name, email and website for next time,” your browser stores cookies for that, which last for one year.
Technical data. Like most websites, our web server and hosting provider automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. We use it to keep the site running, secure and fast.
Cookies. Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use only the ones needed to run the site (for example, for logged-in editors and comment forms), plus the advertising and analytics cookies described below, where they are in use.
Advertising and Google
This site may show ads provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services on its page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
We don’t currently use other advertising networks. If that changes, we’ll list each vendor here, with a link to its site.
Where the law requires your consent before cookies or similar technologies are used for personalised advertising, we ask for it, and you can change your choice afterwards.
Analytics
We may use analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. These services may set cookies and receive information such as your IP address and the pages you visit. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Affiliate links
We may use affiliate links in future. If we do, we’ll say so on the page where the link appears. Companies we link to may set their own cookies when you click.
Links to other sites
Our articles link to other websites, such as company pricing pages and research sources. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their privacy practices. Check their policies when you visit them.
How we use information
We use information to reply to your messages, moderate comments, keep the site secure, understand what readers find useful, and show ads. We share it only with the providers that help us do this (such as our hosting provider, spam filtering, analytics and advertising vendors) or when the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, email thebookssummary@gmail.com. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well without them.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Where information is processed
Our hosting provider and the vendors we use may process information in countries other than your own.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no website or method of transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
